Baked Spaghetti

A combination of a few different recipes I looked through resulted in this bakes spaghetti that turned out pretty well.  Sadly, not only did I fail to get the onion and garlic in the ingredients pic, forgot to take a picture before popping it in the oven.

Italian Chicken Sausage Breakfast Burrito

Country Girl put together a simply scrumptious breakfast for us the other day.  Breakfast burrito with Italian chicken sausage with egg, spinach and cheese paired with a strawberry and pineapple salad.  Gold star stuff.  No surprise, of course.

Grilled Chicken Quesadilla, Pineapple and Asparagus

Man, I love grilling!

Country Girl's Big Day Dinner and Cake

I put together a prawn and cous cous dinner for Country Girl's Big Day.  Sadly, I can't find the recipe that I used as they turned out pretty darn tasty.  Not only that, I even managed not to overcook them.  Also made a cake which the Country Kids were kind enough to frost and slice strawberries as a topping.

Voula's Offshore Cafe - University District

Country Girl's Big Day started off right with us trying a new to us breakfast spot.  Voula's Offshore Cafe is everything you'd expect from a long standing, working man's cafe:  lots of options, surly service and enormous portions.

Homemade Sangria

Country Girl and I are no stranger to pints and bubbles.  We also like to mix it up with sangria sometimes.  While speaking to a store clerk about their sangria options, she strongly suggested making our own.  An quick search on the internet yielded lots of relatively easy recipes (thanks Mr. Gore!) so we felt apprehensive but empowered.  Turns out the apprehension was misplaced as our first effort was absolutely brilliantly and we're totally onboard with the homebrew version.  Waiting is certainly the hardest part and well worth it.

Hunger - Freemont

We went again.  It was awesome again.  Go.  Seriously.  Totally worth the hassle that is parking in Freemont.
